A Call 2Peace Foundation
What we do
We create platforms of artistic expression to exhibit, highlight and support other like minded non profit organizations to the service of human rights, civil rights, sustainability, animal rights, social and racial equality, access to clean water, air and food, providing sustenance and shelter for the food and housing insecure, music education, and the Peace Education Program.
Our “A Call 2Peace” name carries a personal yet familiar meaning, it is a reminder about our human nature, individually and as a species. We are born with peace inside our heart of hearts but we tend to forget our own nature, and the result from this ultimate loss of existential memory has been devastating to ourselves and to Planet Earth, our home.
The A Call 2Peace Foundation work is not to teach or preach about Peace, nor to show how, when or where to find it. Peace is a fundamental need and a basic human right and needs to be felt.
Our music, poetry, dance and visual art events, are a vessel of remembrance, carrying a simple message. They are a call to remember that Peace is our nature, it is our responsibility to feel it and to secure that feeling each and every day.
Current Initiatives
Our present chapter, alongside a world wide Corona virus pandemic, is navigating through moments of deep reflection and creativity, pushed by the fresh winds of solitude in quarantine. It is a chapter of changing strategies, forging new avenues to bring forth our efforts in support of noble causes for the common good in a different manner, through the avenue of the Arts.
Performance venues and gatherings in general have been substituted by stay at home rules. We haven’t been allowed to organize live events and concerts, instead we have focused our efforts into organizing fund raisers, like our social media campaign in support of the Saint George University Hospital from Beirut, Lebanon that got severely affected by the August 4th 2020 explosion at the city harbor. The experience felt in stages throughout different countries and continents, brought clarity to the understanding of our common nature of Peace and the universal language of the arts. Read More
